Just to keep things organized and convenient for you, I’ll be posting material related to our novel study of Something Wicked This Way Comes on this page for you. We’ll be starting our novel study on October 25th. Please be prepared!

First, here are the reading/assignment calendars for the entire novel unit. Our computer lab/library days for the discussion board are posted here as well as any in-class work days for the novel project. Students, you will receive a paper copy of this in class this week also – so go ahead and put your reading schedule in your planners and add it to your calendars!

The above schedule and assignment dates will also be added to our Pre-AP Assignment Calendar, so that those of you with gmail accounts (who have added the calendar to your e-mail) will be friendly e-mail reminders the day before an assignment is due.

Here’s the Dialectical Journal Template we’ll be using throughout our novel study. You’ll receive a paper copy of this (with the example) in class to put in your INB after we review it. We’ll also practice doing the first entry together. You’ll be expected to complete 1 entry for each assigned chunk of reading we do – not for each chapter! Altogether you will have 9 journal entries once we’re finished reading the novel. Entries will be due on the day of the assigned reading check. You’ll discuss/share them in class before turning them in for grading. Check your reading schedules!!!
